On the morning of March 18, the launch of the Brief History and Culture of Chaoshan, which was jointly sponsored by the Shantou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Publicity Department of the CPC Shantou Municipal Committee and Guangdong People's Publishing House, and jointly organized by the Chaoshan History and Culture Society and the Chaoshan History and Culture Research Center, was held in Shantou.

The Brief History and Culture of Chaoshan consists of two volumes. The first volume, “Evolution of History”, focuses on introducing and analyzing the evolutionary process of Chaoshan's historical development and its connection with the country's destiny, while clarifying the inheritance and interaction between Chaoshan culture, Central Plains culture, and overseas culture. The next volume, “A Glimpse of Culture”, mainly presents the profound cultural connotations of Chaoshan region as a famous coastal area where coastal culture flourishes from various perspectives and levels, including Chaoshan’s scenic areas, revolutionary historical sites and events, language and phonology, folkways and customs, music and operas, arts and crafts, food and cuisine, and celebrity stories.

　　《潮汕历史文化简本》首发式在汕举行

　　3月18日上午，由市政协、市委宣传部和广东人民出版社联合主办，潮汕历史文化研究会和潮汕历史文化研究中心承办的《潮汕历史文化简本》首发式在我市举行。

　　《潮汕历史文化简本》分上下两册。上册为“历史演进”，着重介绍和剖析潮汕历史发展的演进过程以及与国家命运之间的关联，同时阐明了潮汕文化与中原文化及海外文化之间的传承与互动。下册为“文化掠影”，主要从潮汕的风景名胜、革命史迹、语言音韵、民俗风尚、音乐戏曲、工艺美术、美食菜系和名人故事等不同层面，多角度地展示潮汕地区作为岭海名邦、海滨邹鲁的深刻文化内涵。
