On March 20, the inaugural meeting of the Shantou Big Health Industry Association and the 1st Big Health Industry Development Forum in 2023 were successfully held. The official inauguration of Shantou Big Health Industry Association marks that the big health industry in Shantou has entered a new stage of whole-chain collaborative advancement and diversified and integrated development.
Shantou's big health industry has a complete range of categories, covering the entire industry chain including chemistry, pharmacy, biomedicine, modern traditional Chinese medicine, medical devices, health food, medical services, health preservation through tourism, and pharmaceutical trade connection, with nearly 1,600 industrial entities and an industry scale of about RMB 30 billion. The newly established Big Health Industry Association consists of the enterprises engaged in the production, scientific research, testing, operation and service of the big health industry in Shantou, as well as medical and health preservation institutions and other relevant social groups. Up to now, its members include more than 120 enterprises.

我市大健康产业门类齐全，涵盖化学制药、生物医药、现代中药、医疗器械、健康食品、医疗服务、旅游康养和医药贸易流通等全产业链，共有产业单位近1600家，产业规模约300亿元。新成立的大健康产业协会由我市从事大健康产业生产、科研、检测、经营、服务的企业，以及医疗康养机构和其他相关社会团体组成，目前已有超120家企业。
