On March 30, Shantou held the for the Signing and Commencement of the Major Projects in the First Quarter of 2023 and the Comprehensive Bonded Zone On-site Meeting for "Boosting Shantou's Strength through Industry". A total of 75 major projects were signed, started and put into operation at the signing event, with a total investment of about RMB 35.4 billion, covering various fields such as new energy, new materials, digital economy, cross-border E-commerce, modern agriculture, headquarters economy, high-end intelligent manufacturing, and "construction of new buildings after demolition of old buildings".

Immediately after the signing event, the Comprehensive Bonded Zone On-site Meeting for "Boosting Shantou's Strength through Industry" was held. The participants also visited relevant industrial parks, enterprises, and projects for "construction of new buildings after demolition of old buildings", and inspected and studied the experience and practices of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone in attracting investment and serving enterprises.
